Milos Rankovic
MI Trainer for Health and Nutrition Coaches
Milos brings over 17 years of experience working with a highly diverse client base, helping them successfully change their exercise, nutrition and other health-related habits. As a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, he is now on a mission to help other coaches master the same skills that transformed his own work.
His teaching combines real-world coaching experience with evidence-based behavior-change science—keeping workshops practical, precise, and relevant to the work coaches actually do.
Milos will also facilitate upcoming advanced workshops with Dr. Steven Cole, founder of Brief Action Planning, on BAP-MI—a novel integration of Motivational Interviewing and Brief Action Planning designed to support health behavior change. Together, they co-authored the chapter “BAP-MI in the Three Function Approach” in Dr. Cole’s new book, The Clinical Interview for Relationship-Centered Care.

Common questions
Do I need previous MI training?
Not at all. This workshop is specifically designed for people with no previous MI experience—even if you’ve never heard of MI before, you’re more than welcome to join.
Do I need a psychology background?
MI originated in psychology, but research consistently shows that people with a psychology background are no more proficient at MI than those without one. Many trainers in the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers have no psychology background at all.
How practical is the training?
The workshop is built around a carefully balanced mix of theory and hands-on practice, so you’ll leave with real understanding—not just knowledge, but the applied MI skill that comes from live demonstrations and guided practice. A working camera and microphone are required, and both sessions are needed for the certificate.
What can I expect to gain from this training?
You’ll leave more confident in your ability to navigate even the most challenging behavior-change conversations, helping your clients successfully adopt new healthy behaviors. You’ll know how to give advice without triggering pushback, and how to help clients uncover their own intrinsic motivation for change.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel before November 8 for a full refund. From November 8 onward, fees are non-refundable but may be credited toward a future Motivate2Change workshop.
